Heart Chocolate Cake

After receiving some very cute ‘heart-shaped’ cake tins from my Mother-In-Law, I thought it was only appropriate to put them to good use, especially with my Birthday coming up!!!

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180°C and grease 2 x 20cm ring tin with butter or cook spray.
  2. Sieve the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, bicarb of soda, baking powder and salt thoroughly into a mixing bowl.
  3. Add the milk, oil, water, eggs and vanilla essence to the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into the greased pans and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  8. Smooth the icing over each layer and decorate the top with cake delights!
