BUSHMANS KLOOF INTRODUCES NEW TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITIES – FOR THE ULTIMATE COMPANY GETAWAY
Whether event organisers wish to build teams, inspire change or create a new vision – Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve & Wellness Retreat is the ideal getaway to give exclusive groups the focussed time and energy for meetings, strategy planning sessions and workshops.
Located just 270km from Cape Town, at the foothills of the Cederberg Mountains amidst staggering rock formations and the untamed beauty of endless open plains, the award-winning lodge with its 16 guest rooms is a welcoming natural retreat for conference and event participants. Included in the accommodation rate from R2,100 per person sharing per night, is complimentary use of the Conference Room, conference equipment, WiFi and breakaway refreshments, in addition to all meals and lodge activities such as daily nature drives and guided rock art excursions.
For a truly memorable event or conference, and mixing business with pleasure, Bushmans Kloof offers a range of relaxing Spa treatments, as well as team building activities to not only enhance team spirit, but to introduce the all-important element of relaxation and fun. A new range of inspiring team building programmes has been introduced, which can be tailored according to individual requirements, and are available at an additional charge (quotes available on request).
Bushmans Kloof’s Amazing Race creates trust and cultivates teamwork – as well as a healthy dose of competition! Teams follow instructions provided and face adventures and challenges in locations throughout the reserve, including archery competitions and ‘treasure’ hunts.
The lodge organises private wine tastings for groups, as well as cooking lessons with Executive Chef Floris Smith. Teams learn how to cook using fresh, local ingredients and elements from various types of cuisine that, according to the chef, will ‘challenge and seduce the palate’.
Cedar Tree Planting
Bushmans Kloof actively encourages event organisers to support its commitment to help save the endangered Clanwilliam Cedar Tree, which occurs only in the Cederberg mountains. Participants may plant a Cedar Tree as individuals or as a group, endorsed with a plaque featuring the company name for an everlasting memory.
Teams have the chance to get involved in Bushmans Kloof’s Yellowfish, Redfin and Sawfin conservation project. As a catchment area the reserve is the perfect ‘nursery’ for the young fry (juvenile fish), which migrate down the Olifants River in the winter months. Participants catch and remove alien fish from the dams, and restock them with Yellowfish fry.
Conference teams can be an ‘eco warrior’ for the day, driving into various parts of the reserve to help remove invasive species such as Port Jacksons, thus helping ongoing conservation efforts in the region.
Elizabethfontein Primary School Visit
Bushmans Kloof is proud to support and contribute towards the local Elizabethfontein Primary School. Visitors can experience a heart-warming visit, observing classes, meeting pupils and teachers and gain insight into how much can be achieved with a little help from the outside.
